ARE
Kids in Need of Direction (KIND) is a needs-based organisation that is dedicated to the empowerment of children by providing them with opportunities for holistic education.
Some of these areas include mental health support, meditation and yoga training, literacy, counseling, nutrition, healthcare, computer technology, vocational training, art, drama, sports, and family reintegration.
KIND was founded in 1996 with a vision to be a sustainable organisation effectively enabling the holistic development of children.
KIND was officially registered as a non-profit organisation on April 24th, 1998, and was granted charitable status by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago on 21st August, 2001.
Over the years, KIND’s work has helped over 158,000 children and their families across Trinidad & Tobago and in some Caribbean Islands, with resources, support, and financial assistance needed to excel in their education.
